Our story
The history of the Nucleonova Group is closely linked to the background of its founder, Juan Antonio Muñoz Sánchez, having participated since 1975 in the construction phases, systems transfer, commissioning and operation of the Cofrentes nuclear power plant (Spain).
Nucleova S.L was created in 2007 with quality engineering activities, providing support to large international projects.
In 2012, in the face of the problems of obsolescence and management of spare parts, the activities of dedication of commercial grade components (CGID) began, after having developed our dedication methodology, in accordance with the requirements of the EPRI and working in close collaboration with laboratories accredited.
As of 2015, we integrate the comprehensive management of the purchase of equipment (purchase agent), in order to complete our dedication service and propose a turnkey service. In 2017, the reverse engineering service was integrated as an additional solution to obsolescence.
In order to diversify activities and promote the internationalization of the group, Lionbest (Lean Innovation and Best Practices for All Sectors) was created in 2023 and Nucleonova France in 2024.
Beginning
Our knowledge begins in the construction of the Cofrentes Nuclear Power Plant (Spain), during the design, construction phases (contracting and evaluation of companies, electrical assembly, mechanics and instrumentation and support for the civil works), transfer of construction systems to exploitation of the plants’ systems.
Quality assurance in pre-operational tests, analysis of system availability, control of systems in coordination with operation, set-up of electrical systems and control of operational activities.
Exploitation of the plant in shopping, reception, engineering and design, electrical maintenance, instrumentation and operational inspections activities.
Design and participation in the control of the supply chain, with the SCS system – Supplier control system – specific to the plant, developing Evaluation and monitoring of activities.
CREACIÓN DE NUCLEONOVA S.L
Nucleonova creation. Support and advice system is established in quality engineering activities, providing support to large national and international projects (CCNNEE, CN ANGRA – Brazil, CN Laguna Verde-Mexico, CN Bounice- Slovakia, etc.)
Innovation in dedication
Start of the activities of dedication of commercial grade components (CGID), with qualification of equipment and components, developing their own methodology according to the requirements of the EPRI and in collaboration with accredited laboratories.
Participation in the development of NQSA standards for the Spanish sector
Turnkey service
Completing the dedication service with the turnkey solution, integrating the purchase of equipment and components, being evaluated by the CCNNEE Supplier Assessment Group. (purchasing agent).
Our goal is to provide a complete service to the customer by meeting their needs for new and obsolete equipment, controlling the supply chain.
Reverse engineering
Given the aging of equipment in the plants, the incorporation of the reverse engineering service is developed, as an additional solution to obsolescence.
Participating in the development of the Epri TR-107372 Rev.1 guide.
Diversification
Creation of Lionbest (Lean Innovation and Best Practices for All Sectors) to diversify activities and promote the internationalization of the group. Specialized consulting and consulting in industrial and nuclear standards are offered.
