Emission and susceptibility
The growing integration of electronics in nuclear and industrial systems requires ensuring compliance with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, ensuring that the implementation of new equipment does not affect other systems and that its operation is reliable in its real electromagnetic environment.
Nucleonova Offers EMC rating services for equipment in accordance with international and European nuclear references, including regulatory requirements, as well as industry reference guides such as the NRC’s NRC, RCC-E, applicable IEC/EN standards (eg IEC 61000) and specific requirements of nuclear operators.
Due to the advancement of the equipment and the introduction of electronics in the systems, a new need appears to comply with the compatibility requirements, being able to guarantee that the installation of said equipment will not affect third parties, as well as that the new equipment to be installed will function properly under the electromagnetic conditions of the location.
That is why Nucleonova offers its equipment qualification service for electromagnetic compatibility requirements according to specific regulations, such as the NRC’s Regulatory Guide 1.180 (Nuclear Regulatory Commission).
SEISMIC QUALIFICATION
Verification of component reliability in case of seismic events
Through tests and calculations
NUCLEONOVA performs seismic qualifications of nuclear and industrial equipment to verify its correct operation under vibration conditions and during or after seismic events. We apply analytical justification, numerical modeling and seismic tests, according to European, French and international nuclear references (IEC, IEEE, EPRI, KTA, among others), guaranteeing complete, traceable and in accordance with regulatory and regulatory requirements. LICENSE.
In certain applications, it is required to verify the correct operation of the equipment in certain vibration conditions, or during/after a seismic event, so it is necessary to carry out a seismic qualification process.

Environmental qualification
Verification of the reliability of equipment exposed to extreme environmental conditions
Through analysis and tests
In certain applications it is necessary to verify and justify the correct operation of the equipment under demanding environmental conditions (temperature, pressure, humidity, radiation, etc.), as well as during or after events that significantly alter normal operating conditions.
Nucleova offers equipment environmental qualification services, including useful life studies, certification under specific environmental conditions, aging tests and environmental qualification according to IEEE standards and other applicable references, guaranteeing the required documentation and conformity in nuclear and industrial environments.
In certain applications, it is required to verify the correct operation of the equipment in certain environmental conditions, such as temperature, pressure, humidity, radiation, etc., or during/after a fortuitous event that greatly modify these normal operating conditions, so it is necessary to justify/document the capacity of these equipment under these conditions.
* Study of the useful life of equipment
* Certification of equipment under certain environmental conditions
* Aging tests
* Environmental rating according to IEEE or others
Dedication of Commercial Grade Components (CGID)
We carry out the activities necessary to ensure that commercial grade components can be used in applications related to safety in nuclear installations.
These commercial-grade component dedication processes are carried out following the guidelines established by the Electrical Power Research Institute (EPRI) and ASME NQA-1, among others. Specifically, EPRI NP-5652, EPRI NP-6404, ASME NQA-1 Subpart 2.14, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, UNE 73.104, etc.
Technical evaluation
In which the technical and quality requirements of the component are defined, identifying their critical characteristics and acceptance criteria based on the security function.
Acceptance process
By verifying and documentation of compliance with said requirements using one or more of the recognized acceptance methods (inspection, trials, analysis or audit of the supplier).
Qualified experts and proven methodology
NUCLEONOVA has highly qualified experts and a proven methodology, supported by its experience and by evaluations carried out on nuclear projects, guaranteeing robust, traceable and conforming dedication processes.
